چکیده
Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) also known as male pattern baldness is the most common hair loss disorder characterized by chronic, nonscarring that marked a progressive reduction in diameter, length, and pigmentation of hair. This located primarily on central scalp with various patterns loss. Pathophysiological features include an alteration cycle via anagen (growth) phase, inflammation, follicular miniaturization. Therapies for AGA are limited there no cure. There high demand restoration. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), treatment modality shown to promote wound healing, has been explored AGA. Objectives: To observe effectiveness platelet-rich Alopecia. Materials & method: prospective observational study was conducted among 30 subjects androgenetic from July 2018 June 2020 reputed private hospital Dhaka. Five (PRP) treatments, at intervals 4 –5 weeks, 2 follow-up examinations were performed. Blood (9 cc) each patient collected 10 cc syringe, PRP isolated using commercially available kit under sterilized conditions. Isolated injected bald areas patients. Treatment efficacy assessed changes number diameter. A secondary objective assess clinical improvement, which evaluated 5-point Likert scale. Then variables analyzed compared. Data processed analysed help computer program SPSS Microsoft excel. Quantitative data expressed mean standard deviation qualitative frequency percentage. Comparison done tabulation graphical presentation form tables, pie chart, graphs, bar diagrams, histogram charts etc. Result: It found majority patients i.e. 41(68.3%) age group 20-40 years, 38.3±6.5 years. No significant difference other demographic profile observed between groups. The median (range) per square centimetre baseline 38.0 (13-105) both At final visit, improved it 53.0 (24-130) treated 41.0 (11-105) control group. Differences statistically (p=0.017). Hair diameter (μm) 65.0 (48-81) μm 66.0 (49-75) follow up 80.0 (58-94) 69.0 (51-85) (p=0.031). treatment-related adverse effects. Conclusion: Present concluded effective option alopecia, provides better outcome terms improve density, subject satisfaction. J Shaheed Suhrawardy Med Coll 2021; 13(2): 158-163
